Little Creek Quarter Horses maintains stallions for breeding to our mare band,
for standing at stud, and for sale. Our stallion bloodlines
include own sons or grandsons of the cutting sires Freckles
Playboy, Highbrow Cat, and Smart Peppy Doc. We also have high
percentage offspring of King P-234. We are dedicated to using
proven bloodlines and then proving our stallions in the show
arena. We will be showing offspring of our stallions as they
become of age.
Reference Sire Overview:
Freckles Playboy
In addition to a heralded cutting career, Freckles Playboy has
been one of the most prolific breeders in the performance horse
industry. He sired performers and champions in the NCHA,
NRHA, NRCHA, the AQHA, and the USTPA. One look at the finals
in NCHA major events and you can see the impact he continues to
have through his daughters. Outside the performance arena,
Playboy bred horses are favorites for ranch work or pleasure.
Freckles Playboy offspring are known for their athleticism, their
intelligence, and good dispositions. At Little Creek Quarter
Horses, we are breeding Playboy offspring to mares of proven
bloodlines to produce performance horses.
High Brow Cat
High Brow Cat has dominated NCHA arenas over the past several
years. His offspring have performed in other disciplines as
well. High Brow Cat recently surpassed Smart Little Lena as
the number one all-time leading cutting sire with over $37+
million in earnings. He is the leading sire of Open NCHA
Futurity winners with a total of five Open Champions. Cat
horses are extremely athletic, energetic, and intelligent.
They are fantastic show horses with a flair that sets them apart
from the competition.
King P-234
King, the 234th horse to be registered in the then newly formed
American Quarter Horse Association, helped define the Quarter Horse
during the 30's, 40's, and 50's. He accomplished this by his
own actions and through those of his offspring. A quick look
at the pedigree of the champions of today reveals the long-lasting
legacy of the horse originally named Buttons. Renamed King by
the wife of owner Jess Hankins, the horse has lived up to his
registered name. His bloodline lives today through line
breeding. Horses are genetically structured to support
in-breeding, which facilitates the practice of line breeding.
Through this practice, breeders today are able to incorporate
King's traits into their herds. King's offspring are known
for their performance, their 'cow', and their good
dispositions.
Smart Peppy Doc
Smart Peppy Doc is a full brother to Smart Little Lena. He
won $124,498 in the cutting arena. His get have won over $1
million in cutting. In addition, Smart Peppy Doc offspring
have been successful in other areas of performance including
reining, reined cow horse, and roping.
